Dr Shireen Tabatabai

Shireen Tabatabai graduated from Monash University with honors in 2000. Shireen completed her internship, physician training and Gastroenterology training at Monash Medical Centre. She was awarded the fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2008.
​
She is currently a consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Monash Medical Centre. Shireen is also involved in clinical trials in liver disease.
​
Shireen works in private practice at Clayton and Moorabbin and performs Endoscopy in Clayton and Bayside Endoscopy Moorabbin.
​
She has admitting rights at Jessie McPherson Clayton and Cabrini Malvern.
Shireen Tabatabai’s clinical experience includes patients with liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome and performing upper and lower GI endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy). She has a special interest in diseases of the liver.
Dr David Devonshire

David Devonshire is a Monash University graduate, who completed advanced Gastroenterology training at Southern Health Melbourne, then an Interventional Endoscopy Fellowship at the Digestive Disease Centre, Medical University of South Carolina under the stewardship of Prof Peter Cotton and Prof Rob Hawes.
​
He returned to Melbourne as Director Endoscopy for Southern Health, a teaching hospital of Monash University Health Sciences where he has a special interest in ERCP, Cholangioscopy and interventional luminal endoscopy for the detection and treatment of neoplasia and benign disease in adults and children.
​
A great team of endoscopy nurses and endoscopy fellows complement a very active endoscopy service. He enjoys interactive live endoscopy workshops in Australia and abroad.
​
His private practice is shared with a group of dedicated Gastrointestinal Specialists and Surgeons with expertise in Endoscopy, Liver Disease, Inflammatory Bowel disease and GI cancer prevention and treatment.
​
David consults privately in Clayton and performs Endoscopy at Jessie McPherson Private Hospital.
